De Montfort University (DMU) in Leicester has an excellent academic reputation – it’s ranked alongside Cambridge for its research in English literature – and maintains strong links with other universities worldwide.
Like all UK universities, DMU is keen to attract and retain international students. In 2015, it asked us to design a new brochure introducing DMU to new overseas undergraduates, and providing useful; information and advice ahead of their arrival.
We created a die-cut design based on the DMU rose logo: it was important to give the piece a strong sense of identity and credibility, so students would know it was a genuine communication. We also designed typography and layout to make the text easy to read for non-native English speakers.
